(1) When providing relief and financial support to the victims in accordance with this regulation, it shall be provided on the following basis not exceeding the following amount:-
(a) If the victim needs to be rescued immediately, if the victim needs to use a vehicle, the fare amount for traveling by public vehicle, three hundred rupees per day for food expenses and if a separate amount is required for accommodation, then five hundred rupees per day at a maximum rate of five thousand rupees. (b) If the victim needs to be admitted to a hospital and receive medical treatment, if he needs to use a vehicle to get to and from the hospital, the fare amount for using public vehicles, three hundred rupees per day for food expenses, five hundred rupees per day for living expenses for a maximum of five days if there is no arrangement for staying in the hospital, and Actual expenses including medical expenses not to exceed six thousand five hundred rupees and if the victim has dependent children, food expenses for such children at the same rate
(c) actual expenses incurred for legal aid, psychological treatment or counseling not exceeding five thousand rupees,
(d) In the form of seed capital for doing any business, a maximum of thirty thousand rupees including in-kind and cash grants,
(e) a maximum of five thousand rupees for rehabilitation,
(f) For other work as specified by the Board of Directors, depending on the nature of the work, a maximum of ten thousand rupees.
(2) If a victim makes an application to the office with reasonable grounds and evidence that the amount as per sub-rule (1) is insufficient, and if the behavior is found to be unreasonable, the relief committee may give such victim an additional reasonable amount not exceeding two thousand rupees.
(3) Regardless of what is written in sub-rule (2), relief and financial support as determined by the board of directors can be provided to the victims living outside Nepal.
